  • Tokyo Central Japanese Language School (TCJ) was founded in 1988. Since then TCJ has been committed to Japanese language education and language teacher training. TCJ’s efforts in building the “Cross-cultural Communication” atmosphere and “Teacher-based Educational Operation” have been highly recognized by educational institutes both in and outside the country.

Course Information

  • Focus of Study :
    TCJ emphasizes on speaking training. No matter when students want to enter college or to find jobs, face-to-face interview is a must in testing communication skills. TCJ emphasizes on communicative training from the Beginning Course. If you goals to acquire speaking and communication skills, TCJ should be one of the best choices.

    Benefit, Goal of this course :
    Students are trained with 4 skills: speaking, listening, writing and reading in a balanced way. The skills will not only be useful for Japanese Language Proficiency Exam (JLPT) and The Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU), but will also be practical for daily life.

    Curriculum :

    The class is divided into 8~10 levels, and the students are put into the level in accordance with their language levels. Level Division Test is held when students enter the school. In addition, Level Up Test is also held at the end of every term.
    Classroom Hour : TCJ operates on the quarter system, which means 1 term=3 months. There are 4 classes every day, from Monday to Friday.

  • You can enter the Student Dormitory, which is affiliated with and owned by the school.
    You can also search for a rental property yourself and rent a guest house, share house, condominium, etc.

    We have various student dormitories and share houses in places suitable for commuting to school and studying abroad.
    For this reason, many students have access to free Wi-Fi and comfortable furnished dormitories at reasonable prices.
    As a general rule, anyone who is a TCJ international student and wishes to move into the dormitory can move in.

  • only 1 minute from Shinjuku Station.

Facilities

  • TCJ relocated on May 6, 2013. The new location is only 1 minute from Shinjuku Station. With spacious classrooms and office, we will become much more convenient and comfortable school. At the same time, TCJ Japanese Teacher Training course will also be held on the same floor. Foreign students will have more chances to communicate and interact with Japanese students, which realizes the school filled with much more international atmosphere.

  • “Study hard, play hard” is TCJ’s motto. Aside from college preparatory events,TCJ students have various cross-cultural communication activities, and opportunities to communicate with Japanese students of the language training course.
