Surrounding Area
Tasmania is the perfect place to live and study - a peaceful, scenic state that's big enough to support vibrant cities and thriving opportunities for study and work, but small enough to be friendly, and offer a high quality lifestyle. It has also made the Lonely Planet's top ten list of must-visit destinations for 2015.
Tasmania is roughly the same size as Sri Lanka or Ireland and has a population of half a million people.
Tasmania's two major cities are the state's capital, Hobart, in the south east, and Launceston in the north. The cities are an easy two-hour drive apart.
