Language Studies International(LSI)-London Central About the

  • Since its establishment in 1965, Language Studies International has been providing international students with a place to exchange culture and learn new language. Believing that true linguistic enhancement comes when students are wholly immersed in the culture and language, LSI aims to provide the best accommodation suitable for English learning as well as an appropriate academic environment. LSI also understands that international students have different motives and reasons for their pursuit of new language and thus provides courses for all academic, professional and personal aims. With extensively trained instructors and professional academic counselors who have abundant experiences with foreign students, LSI constantly reviews the latest trend and methodology in the field.  Accredited by AAIEP, LSI boasts an international atmosphere, learner-centered classes, quality homestay programs, certified teachers, dynamic class lessons and a certificate as a proof of students' language competence. LSI offers several challenging courses that promise students with significantly noticeable growth in their English skills. Courses provide the same lessons in different levels in order to meet each student's needs. As courses divided into 6 levels, ranging from beginner to advanced, students will be placed in the most suitable level and thus be provided with instructions and lessons apt for their English proficiency. LSI does not settle with its current establishment. Rather, the institution continuously takes part in international research and seminars in order to provide students with the most effective method and environment to learn English in.

Conditional admission

  • LSI's academic team provides students assistance when going through the application process for transfers. The staff will check language requirements and required documents with the students in order for them to be well prepared. Furthermore, school counselors will come up with a study plan for individual students and monitor each student's progress in order to meet different universities' needs. In the past, students at LSI schools have been granted conditional admission from their chosen university or college. Many of these schools are LSI's partner schools in the States or Canada who are ensured that students who have completed LSI programs have attained competent English skills. LSI's University Preparation Programme is specifically designed to guide students along their application process and increase their acceptance rate.

Course Information

  • Ealing is a pretty, family-oriented, residential area in west London, full of cafes, shops and parks.Located in Zone 3, and with excellent transport links, it takes just 20 minutes to reach central London by tube. The programme will take place at Ealing Green College just 10 minutes walk from Ealing Broadway Station. The College overlooks Ealing’s main park, Walpole Park. The course combines English tuition in the mornings with fun activities in the afternoons and at weekends, enjoying all that the London has to offer.

Course Information

  • Focus of Study : 
    the Intensive English Program is ideal for students seeking quick improvement in English as well as classroom lessons combined with student activities. During the lessons, students will be given ample opportunities to practice and improve their conversational English skills.

    Benefit, Goal of this course : 
    the Intensive English Program does not take more than 15 student per class. This is to set an ideal studying environment for students. Students will thus be given more chances to speak with their native instructors. During the 2 lessons given each day, students will cover reading, writing, speaking and listening. Additional studying materials other than textbooks such as magazines, discussions, newspapers and role-plays will be applied in order to enrich students' learning experiences.

    Curriculum :  This course provides 30 lessons per week. Same program is offered in six different levels. Beginner, Elementary, Pre-Intermediate, Intermediate, Upper Intermediate and Advanced are the levels that break down students' English proficiency. Upon their arrival, students will be given an Entrance Exam in order to be placed in an appropriate academic level. Courses are provided for as short as 1 week to 50 weeks. Students must be at least 16 years of age in order to enroll in this course.

    Classroom Hour :
    In the morning, students will be given same classroom lessons as the General English Program. On top of that, the Intensive English Program will continue further studies in the afternoon to build an intensified atmosphere and consolidate the morning lessons.

  • LSI offers is its unique homestay program. With experienced, welcoming host families, students will find the greatest opportunity to enhance their English skills and experience the local culture. All students will be given a single room but students will choose between the bed and breakfast option and half-board option. Minimum age for homestay program is 16. The other option is off-campus housing for students who prefer more independence and privacy. Schafer House Hall of Residence is located within 5-minute walk from the LSI center. Single rooms with shower, shared bathroom and kitchen are provided. Facilities include common lounge with TV and a laundry room. Alliance House Hall of Residence is within 30 minute bus-ride from the LSI London center. Private bed and bathrooms are provided while meals are self-catered. This is an option only available during the summer. Blighty House is located within 30-minute bus ride from the LSI London Central campus. Private bathrooms are provided on personal request. With self-catered meals, students gain access to the garden and fully equipped kitchen. the Iberica House is located 8-minute walk away from the Camden Town. Single or double rooms are offered with self-catered meals and shared kitchen. More residence options at Greenview Court, Beaumont Court, Mansion SW3, Vicent House, Ratbone Place Apartments, HYELM, London Solutions Flat Square, Stay Club, Blithehale Court, the Generator in Central London, Bedford Hotel, Tavistock Hotel, Imperial Hotel, Radisson Edwardian Grafton, St.Giles Hotel, Dillon's Hotel, Dawson House Hotel, and Quality Hotel are provided as well. Surrounding Area

  • World class shops, theatres, cinemas, restaurants, bars, museums and galleries are all within walking distance. Located in an affluent residential area of Fulham in South-West London, the School benefits from fashionable neighbourhood of Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, breath taking parks and scenery, delightful local shops and restaurants, and easy access to all the wonders that London has to offer.

ロンドンなので何でも揃ってるので不安はあまりありませんでした。
学校から紹介してもらった宿泊先も綺麗で住み易くて良かったです＾＾
