  • The University of Portsmouth is a public university in the city of Portsmouth, Hampshire, England. It is one of only four universities in the South-East to be rated Gold in the Government Teaching Excellence Framework.
    Portsmouth has educated a wide range of people, including Tim Peake, Grayson Perry, Poet Laureate Simon Armitage, Sir John Armitt, Baroness Diana Maddock, and John Flint. Its alumni can be found worldwide, holding senior and executive positions in banking, politics, and civil engineering.     The postgraduate pathway is for students who do not meet the traditional entry requirements for Year 0 (Master's Degree) or who would benefit from additional academic preparation. Students can begin their postgraduate pathway at ICP and graduate from the University of Portsmouth with a world-class qualification.

  • Focus of Study :
    ICP offers Pre-Sessional English courses to students who need to improve their academic English language skills before commencing their chosen foundation course. Students studying English language are part of the ICP student body and have access to the same university facilities as those in academic courses. The courses are offered directly prior to each academic intake. Successful completion of the Pre-sessional course guarantees you a place on the following academic stage at ICP.

    Grosvenor Halls of Residence:
    With fantastic reviews from current ICP students, we are proud to offer students their own Halls of Residence facing the seafront in Southsea, just 10-15 minutes' walk from ICP. Grosvenor Residence offers a selection of modern rooms, including a studio penthouse, overlooking Southsea Common offering some of the best views in Portsmouth.

    Sandringham Halls of Residence:
    Sandringham Residence is a great budget alternative to Grosvenor Residence for our September students. Sandringham Residence is located in-between both the Grosvenor and Osborne Residences and is part of the ICP Halls community. The building features both a launderette and internal bicycle storage and is situated by the seafront in Southsea, just 10-15 minutes' walk from ICP.

Surrounding Area

  • Portsmouth is a New Hampshire port city on the Piscataqua River. Notable 17th- and 18th-century houses include several within Strawbery Banke Museum, where costumed staff demonstrate traditional crafts. Nearby, the 1855 North Church presides over downtown’s Market Square. Prescott Park has riverside gardens and boat docks. Northwest, former research submarine USS Albacore is in a park, alongside a visitor center.
