Course Information

  • Focus of Study :  
    We offer a variety of programs, flexible schedules and a personal approach. Our goal is to provide you with the most effective learning experience possible.

    Curriculum : 
    The Intensive English program offers classes focused on speaking, listening, reading, writing, and grammar. Each class is taught by extremely experienced teachers. The average class size is between 8 and 10 students. The maximum class size is 15 students with a minimum age requirement of 16. Activities are scheduled each week and include “Living Language Labs,” sightseeing trips, entertainment, and volunteer activities.  A new session starts every four weeks, so you can register any time of the year. Classes are from Monday to Friday, for a total of 20 hours a week. Student Visa: Required

  • Our excursions are managed by Expedition America, San Diego Experiences and American Host Tours. They specialize in fun tours for international students, traveling through the Southwest of the US. In addition to knowing how to make a trip on the freeway fun, these companies provide safe, informational and unique tours. Transportation is provided in first class Motor Coaches, Mini-Buses and 14 Passenger Vans. Their guides are professional, fun (of course) and knowledgeable.

這是我人生中第一次出國，也是第一次自己一個人遠行。最開始出國的初衷就只是希望能夠把語文能力提升，長時間的課程加上實際的生活體驗，讓我得到的不僅僅只是語文能力的提升，更多的是文化與實際生活體驗所帶來的影響。這段時間，除了上課之外，因為希望可以趁著聖誕假期時間遊覽整個國家，所以也自己著手開始規畫行程。從最開始的規劃、自己找相關的旅行社、預定旅行期間所有的住宿、前往的渡輪、回程的機票或是到當地報名參加活動，所有的過程都是自己獨立完成。之所以能夠自己一手完成這些，我想是因為在上課的過程中，學校老師給的鼓勵，所以在很多需要英語溝通的地方自己都變得相對於以往有自信，然而寄宿家庭也帶給我莫大的影響，他們教我用正向的態度去面對遇到的難題。我記憶中很深刻的事情是，有幾天我因為連續幾天的雨而顯得有些煩悶，然而家庭告訴我說：如果沒有這些雨，你來到這裡就看不到這麼美麗的風景。雖然只是很簡單的幾句話，影響卻很大。
在還沒有出發之前，我想我和很多人都一樣，認為出國是一件算還蠻了不起的事情，好像出去一趟就會有所成就，一切都會很順利，但事實上並非如此，不是所有的一切都像想像中美好，生活上還是會有許多大大小小的問題需要自己想辦法解決，藉由這次的留學也讓我成長了許多~~^^

比較的日本人が少ない環境で留学がしたい！と思い、語学学校を探していてELSシャーロット校を見つけました。
以前違う学校に１ヶ月の短期で留学した際、日本人学生の割合がとても多く、
授業中は英語での会話でもやはり寮、プライベートでは日本語での会話になってしまってあまりスピーキング力が上達しませんでした。
なので今回は１年間という長い期間の留学なので初めから日本人の少ない学校と決めていました。

留学サイトやいろんな口コミで見ていた通り、日本人学生の割合がとても少なく、私は１年間１度だけ同じクラスに日本人学生が１人いただけで
それ以外はずっとクラスに日本人は私一人でした！なので必然的に学校でも寮でもずっと英語を使えたので
この１年すごくスピーキング力が伸びました！とても楽しい留学生活でした！戻ってきた今でも語学学校での友達と連絡を取っています。

１年間キャンパスの外にある学生寮（キャンパス外ですが、学校が用意しているレジデンスなので徒歩圏内で近いです！）に住んでいました！
同じクラス以外の友達もたくさん出来るのでとてもお薦めですよ＾＾
