Course Information

  • Focus of Study :
    General English PT consists of eighteen units per week in listening, speaking, reading and writing at the appropriate level and is designed on proven pedagogical principles. This course provides students with pronunciation and grammar support, vocabulary improvement and a focused path to English proficiency. General English is ideal for students of all levels who wish to improve their understanding of the English language while visiting the local area, immersing themselves in the American culture and participating in excursions and activities with new friends from around the world. 

    Curriculum : 
    General English PT is a part-time course with group classes with 18 classes per week, each 45 minutes long. There's average of 12 students in each class and are held Monday through Friday throughout the year. Students may begin any Monday and end any Friday. Students must take class for at least 2 weeks. There are 10 levels from Beginner to Fluency with levels.

    TALK’s most popular course, Intensive English, consists of twenty five units per week in listening, speaking, reading and writing at the student’s tested level. The course offers support with pronunciation and grammar, improvement in vocabulary and a focused path towards English proficiency. This program is ideal for those students seeking total immersion into their English studies. TALK’s advanced levels are ideal for students planning to continue their studies at an American university.

Course information

  • Focus of Study : 
    Internationally-recognized language certification through accredited testing organizations provides an advantage in both your academic studies and for your lifetime career path. Whichever certification you need, one of TALK’s Test Preparation Programs will provide you with the specific English skills, test-taking techniques and ongoing support needed in order to obtain the highest possible results on your exam. If the student is not at the required level to begin their program, they will be placed in an English course at the appropriate level (low beginner to intermediate) 

    Curriculum : 
    TOEFL iBT Complete program is Intensive group class for TOEFL iBT test-taking strategies and exam practice with 25 classes per week, each 45 minutes long. There's average of 12 students in each class and are held Monday through Friday throughout the year. Students may begin any Monday and end any Friday. Students must take class for at least 2 weeks. There are 9 levels from Beginner to Fluency.

  • TALK host families are carefully selected and conveniently reside near public transportation, making it easier for students to travel to school and explore San Francisco. TALK works with great care to ensure we provide you with the best host family experience to fully immerse yourself in American culture!Our host families offer single accommodations with breakfast and dinner provided daily. Each student stays in a furnished single room in a four-person suite, consisting of four rooms that share a common area, one bathroom and two sinks. Each individual room is furnished with a long twin bed, dresser, desk, and wardrobe closet. New Hall features an open inner quad where TALK students can mingle with each other and get to know NDNU students as well. Students have access to a common kitchen and laundry room. Students selecting this option are required to complete the Notre Dame de Namur University Residence Hall Contract and are bound to the terms and conditions of that agreement.  A minimum stay of 2 weeks is required. Students may purchase a flex-card to use for their meals on-campusNDNU’s on-campus cafeteria and café serves organic and locally farmed produce, and meals made to order for all diets.San Francisco, Silicon Valley, and Stanford University are just minutes away by trainThe NDNU campus is within walking distance to the train station

  • As one of America’s most beautiful and popular tourist destinations, you will find an array of things to do and see in San Francisco. The San Francisco Bay Area is home to more than 7 million permanent residents.  Here you can visit the famous Golden Gate Bridge, ride up and down the hills in a cable car, wander through Fisherman’s Wharf, take a boat ride to Alcatraz Island, or meet new friends in the city’s world-renowned restaurants, cafes, shops and nightclubs.

  • Students can freely access all campus facilities of Notre Dame de Namur University, including gym, libraries, computer lab, basketball courts and much more.

  • TALK students at NDNU enjoy many fun activities including local concerts, museums, walking excursions to San Francisco and trips to the beach.  Located within 20 minutes of the campus is the world-famous Silicon Valley, where students can visit the campuses of technology giants such as Google, Yahoo, and Facebook. Students can also participate in day and weekend trips to exciting locations including Six Flags Amusement Park, Napa Valley, and Lake Tahoe.

學校的活動很多,設施也會不定期更新,每個周末都有安排活動帶學生出遊,

老師教學方式活潑,也很有耐心,每堂課的內容雖然不同,但都注重再加強同學的聽說讀寫部分，
每學期舉辦兩次英語能力測驗的考試,便利於要進修的學生,也而外開選修課提供給學生參加.
學生都來自世界各地,不過大都來中東像是沙烏地阿拉伯,印度;以及韓國.日本.和中國各地的亞洲地區,除了可以認識各個地方不同的文化之外,也可以訓練聽除了美式以外的口音
這是一個以著名的旅遊城市這是著名的美食，音樂和歷史街區。
因為去附近旅行都很方便很近，因此常常與其他同學一起去旅行，有很多很美好得回憶
