    CAMPUS (Palisades Park) center has been licensed by the State of New Jersey Department of Education and Department of Labor and Workforce Development to operate all approved post-Secondary programs offered at this facility. CAMPUS (Palisades Park) center’s state license, which is renewed every two year. CAMPUS (Palisades Park) center has thoroughly adopted the practices, programs, program components, systems, policies and procedures employed by the CAMPUS institution and its other centers.

  • Focus of Study :
    In General English, we work to improve your listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in English, and we build your knowledge of vocabulary, idioms, grammar, and structure.  You will gain fluency and accuracy in your language use through guided instruction, assignments, and many communicative activities in class.  We believe that through using English to accomplish specific tasks, you will become more comfortable and confident users of the language.

    This program is suitable for students who want to improve their English for personal or social reasons, who wish to be more competitive in their chosen profession, or who wish to prepare for academic studies in the United States or abroad. 

    Curriculum :
    General English is offered in 5 levels, from beginner (Level 1) to advanced (Level 5).

    The General English (ESL) program is skills-integrated, linguistically sequential, communicative, and consists of five levels of proficiency, ranging from Beginner/False Beginners (CEFR: A1) up through Advanced (CEFR: C1). Students learn the structural rules and proper usage of English grammar via rigorous classroom immersion in interactive listening, reading, speaking, and writing activities. Vocabulary building, including the acquisition of a poised understanding of the proper use of idiomatic language and collocations, is a major component of each level of instruction. Fundamentally, all course content is delivered in an interactive and student-centered environment.

    In this program, you will work on your listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, build your vocabulary, and improve your knowledge of grammar.  You will also learn different test-taking strategies and become familiar with the parts of the test.

    Benefit, Goal of this course :
    Our TOEFL Preparation program is for students who wish to improve their TOEFL score for entrance to college or graduate school programs in the United States

    Curriculum :
    This program is appropriate for students at the advanced level (Level 5).

    TOEFL Preparation (Advanced) is designed to equip students with the necessary skills to obtain high scores on the TOEFL Internet-based Test (iBT). Students learn how to respond capably to the assorted Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing tasks embedded in the TOEFL (iBT) by applying specific strategies to their experiences of the Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing sections of the test. Students chart their progress over the course of the term, studying advanced academic vocabulary and grammar structures, and the mechanics of effective oral presentation delivery and polished essay writing. Importantly, students learn fundamental test-taking strategies by taking a series of quizzes and full-length TOEFL (iBT) practice exams. This course is available to students in General English 5 and Academic Preparation (Advanced).

  • TOEFL Preparation is available to new students who have tested in at a General English 5 or higher on the initial placement exam. This course is also available to continuing students who have successfully completed General English 4 or Academic Preparation (Upper Intermediate).

  • CAMPUS Education Palisades Park branch is conveniently located in the center of friendly New Jersey community with its residential location. The school is located in Just a short distance by bus from Manhattan. Public transportation makes the city accessible from New York City and other parts of New Jersey.  

    Living in New Jersey will be more affordable as per taxation since New Jersey does not charge sales tax on most unprepared foods, household paper products, medicine, and clothing.

  • There are 8 classrooms, 5 offices and 2 lounges, all of which have access to the Internet via Wi-Fi, and teachers can use their own or the school or classrooms’ computers at CAMPUS (Palisades Park).
    There are 5 classrooms used to teach General English.
    There is 1 classroom used to teach Academic Preparation.
    There is 1 classroom used to teach TOEFL
    There is 1 classroom used as a Test Room, usually for students retaking tests or taking placement tests.
    There is 1 office for teachers. 
    There is 1 office for the ESL Coordinator. 
    There is 1 shared and sub-divided office for the School Director, Admissions Staff, the Registrar, and the DSO.

Activity

  • There are two types of activities offered: school activities and class field trips. 

    School activities encompass all on-site (and in-class) events, such as celebrations of holidays (for instance, St. Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, or Halloween) wherein faculty, students, and staff partake in a school pot-luck party that includes the teaching of global/national/local history accompanied by English language practice games and activities. Students are informed of all related costs but are not required to share in covering any of the financial expenses involved. 

    Instructor-designed field trips are created exclusively for the students of a given class and scheduled at a specific class time. Only students who are enrolled in the class of the instructor leading the trip may participate. Field trips are viewed as curriculum-based field work and are relevant to class work.
