    Our International Foundation Year offers a choice of two academic routes – Business, Economics and Social Sciences or Engineering and Sciences. Once you have completed the programme and achieved the required grades, you will join your chosen undergraduate degree at UCD

Course Information

  • Our year-round General English Course focuses on speaking, listening, reading and writing with authentic materials and tasks, as well as taking a context-based approach to grammar and vocabulary.  Throughout the course, students will also develop the ability to express critical thinking in English and take English language exams. Students are introduced to global topics and learner collaboration is encouraged, through projects and discussion.

    World-class academic facilities include the James Joyce Library. There is also an Olympic-sized swimming pool, a 3D cinema, a drama theatre and more.

    With over 80 active student societies and 55 sports clubs, the self-contained campus has something to suit everyone. Areas of interest range from canoeing to comedy to chemical engineering.

    The International Student Society arranges activities and excursions all around Ireland. And the Global Lounge is a dynamic hub for globally focused students and organisations to hold events for other students.
