A Flexible U.S. Experience
At the undergraduate level we have fall (September - December) and spring (January - May) semesters, where you would normally take 5 courses (15 credits/30 ECTS) in one semester. At the graduate level we have flexible 5-term system that allows you to take 2-4 courses each 10-week term. Students normally take 4 courses (12 credits/30ECTS) over 2 terms. If you come from a partner institution and have a GPA of at least 3.0 our of 4.0, you may be offered a discount. All other students may apply for our international scholarship.

Intensive English Program courses provide language instruction for students who wants to increase their English level in a short amount of time with maximum profits. Classes are held 18 hours per week, with maximum of 12 students in each class, in different levels. The minimum age for the program is 17. Program includes curriculum of Grammar and Writing, Reading and Vocabulary, Speaking and Listening and other elective courses. SNHU offers all levels of instructions from Low-Intermediate
through Advanced levels in semester-length sessions. Students may enter at mid-session (the seventh
or eighth week of the term).
The curriculum is theme-based and each student is assigned a
faculty counselor. At each proficiency level, language skills
(listening, speaking, reading, writing and structure) are taught
in the context of such specific content areas as business communications,
the environment, health, the justice system, literature,
sports, United States history and others.

Apartments consist of four (single occupancy for the East Side Apartment Area and double occupancy for the West Side Apartment Area) and six (double occupancy in the West Side Apartment area) person accommodations. Students share a common kitchen, living room and bath.
Furnished with desks, chairs, beds, drapes, wardrobes, living room and kitchen furniture, as well as a stove and refrigerator. Students must provide their own pots, pans, glasses, plates and silverware.

Getting Here by Car From Boston (1 hour) From I-93 take exit 9N onto US3/RT 28 heading north. At the first intersection, go left onto West Alice Drive, which becomes Donati Drive at the sharp curve. Follow Donati to the end, and then go right onto Bicentennial Drive. Follow Bicentennial to the stop sign, and then take a right onto North River Road. The university is 1/4 mile down the road on the left. From Hartford, Connecticut (2.5 hours) Take I-84E to I-90E to I-495N to I-93N. In New Hampshire, take exit 9N. Proceed as above. From Worcester, Massachusetts (1.25 hours) Take I-290 to I-495N to I-93N. Proceed as above. From New Jersey (5-6 hours) Take the George Washington Bridge in New York City take I-95N to I-91N to I-84E in Hartford, CT to I-90E to I-495N to I-93N. In New Hampshire, take exit 9N. Proceed as above. From New York City (4-4.5 hours) Take I-95N in New York, and then follow the same directions as from New Jersey. From Bangor, Maine (5 hours) Take I-95S (Maine Turnpike) to Portsmouth, New Hampshire, to Route 101W to I-93N to exit 9N. Proceed as above. Directions from the South (Everett Turnpike/Route 3) Take U.S. Route 3 to I-293 North to exit 6. Cross the Amoskeag Bridge, then turn left onto Elm Street.
