University of Missouri is a public research university located in the state of Missouri. In 1839, the university was founded in Columbia, Missouri as the first public institutionof higher education west of the Mississippi River. Temporary Summer Meal Adjustments ONLY applicable to Sessions 6, 7, 8 and 9: • From May 20th to August 16th, the Campus Cafeteria is only open from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. We provide free shuttle service to a local supermarket. Dorm students have refrigerators in each room and access to cooking facilities. Typical single dorm room. Shared bathrooms on each floor. Rooms have a bed, bed linens, desk with chair, dresser, microwave, refrigerator, phone jack and Internet connection (Ethernet). Coin-operated washers & dryers in residence hall. $1 per load. Security: A Resident Assistant (RA) is available to help students with housing. University Police provide 24-hour securitythrough frequent bike patrols and automobile patrols.
