  • For over ten years, Western Town College has been providing quality education in Canada.  Today, the College offers a number of educational programs directed toward teacher training, ESL for international students, and student preparation programs for post-secondary education.The mission of Western Town College is to seek, verify, and apply knowledge related to business, and to disseminate this knowledge through student education. More specifically, our mission is:To teach English language skills using quality courses specialized to suit our ESL students’ requirements. Our programs are designed to provide insight and theoretical background as well as the practical skills necessary to succeed in today’s workplace.

Course Information

  • Benefit, Goal of this course :
    The course focuses primarly on Grammar (Reading and Writing/ Listening and Speaking) and elective courses. Afternoon classes are based on an electives system where students can choose classes appropriate to their level and interests. Learning does not stop when classes finish at Western Town College. There are many exciting activities that students can participate in. Students are encouraged to be active and enjoy the city in which they live. The multitudes of activities are excellent opportunities for students to meet and make friends for life. 

    Curriculum :
    New ESL students write a placement test and get an orientation on Start Day at 9:00 a.m. In ESL, each term lasts for four weeks.In our morning classes, students learn the fundamental grammar points necessary to communicate in English. The levels are ranged from 1 to 7. These classes focus on all the main areas of ESL: listening, speaking, reading, and writing.

    Classroom Hour :
    9:00-14:00 regular class hours and 4:10-5:00 optional homework tutorial from Monday to Thursday, 9:00-1:00 on Friday

  • Homestay accommodation is an enjoyable way for international students to learn about Canadian culture, practice English conversation skills, and make friends with people from different cultures. The homestay service that Western Town College provides to our students is a very valuable experience that can be extremely beneficial to students.  The main goal of our homestay program is to provide a safe, clean, friendly, and quiet place for students to study and relax. WTC will help our students to arrange a residence which can be just 5 minutes distance from the College. Residential accommodation has a private room with shared bathroom and showers. Residential accommodation does not include meals. We can also recommend International Hostelling where you can meet people from all over the world. This type of accommodation can be private or a shared room. Rates vary according to seasons. WTC can help students to arrange for a rental apartment. This option would be suitable for students who come to study for long term such as 6 to 12 months. For more information on how to rent an apartment please contact WTC.

  • Vancouver is one of the world’s most beautiful cities and also one of its most livable cities. The City of Vancouver is a multicultural and modern city. Surrounded by sea and mountains makes Vancouver an exciting city where you can enjoy outdoor activities. Western Town College Vancouver campus is located in the heart of the downtown core, less than a five-minute walk from the SkyTrain, shopping centers, and other exciting attractions.

Activity

  • We also offer a lot of extra choices from after school tutoring/speaking classes and tons of extra-curricular activities that are organized through West Trek Entertainment. Students have the option of everything from weekend trips to the Rockies and Whistler.

Getting to the school from the airport, 3D School view

  • The students can take the transportation or request the airport pick-up service from the Vancouver International airport to Western Town College. Pick-up service costs $80.
