  • inlingua Victoria is in the heart of the city on Government Street and located on one of the most beautiful streets in Victoria. The campus is right across from the inner harbour, surrounded by cafes, restaurants, and boutique shopping centres.

    The campus is new, modern, and contemporary with the latest hi-tech equipment. There is free Wi-Fi, several lounge areas with TV’s and seating areas, and a computer lab. Each classroom is equipped with the latest technology, and offers lounge type arrangements for real comfort and pleasure. inlingua Victoria is also open on Saturdays for students to come and enjoy our lounge or watch TV. inlingua Victoria is the only College with a rooftop patio and it has ocean and mountain views.

  • Focus of Study :
    Inlingua Victoria’s General English courses are designed for learners of all levels and have an emphasis on speaking, communication and a high level of learner participation. The goal is to improve your accuracy and fluency as you move up the levels from beginner to advanced+. These courses will give you the skills you need to communicate effectively in English, and will provide a strong foundation of grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing and spoken English.

    inlingua Victoria College of Languages is designated by the Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB). General English Courses with a duration of 6 months or more are approved by the registrar.

    Curriculum :
    inlingua Victoria facilitates 6 levels of English learning.

    Level 1 – Beginner
    Level 2 – High Beginner
    Level 3 – Low Intermediate
    Level 4 – Intermediate (Learners who graduate level 4 can join our IELTS exam preparation program)
    Level 5 – Upper Intermediate (Learners who graduate level 5 can join our Professional Business Co-Op, or Hospitality and Service Management Co-Op Career Program (Work and Study)).
    Level 6 – Advanced Level 

    Classroom Hour :
    Course Selections
    Full Time – General English Course: 21 hours per week (including the school’s graduation ceremony each Friday).
    Part Time AM – Morning General English classes with a focus on Grammar, Reading and Writing: 15 hours per week.
    Part Time PM  – Afternoon General English classes with a focus on Speaking and Listening: 6 hours per week.

    On the first day of arrival students will take a written and oral placement test to determine their inlingua Level of English. Students can also take our online test before their start date in order to plan their study period.

  • Focus of Study :
    In this option, you will have the opportunity to start your program at home and finish in Beautiful Victoria B.C, learning about administration, supplier management, sales and negotiation, marketing and the primary administrative skills you need to grow within a company. In this diploma, you will have the opportunity to do six months of business internship immersed in the Canadian labour market.

    Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to demonstrate the following:

    Acquire knowledge in the Professional Business World and learn from top industry professionals and instructors.

    Be prepared for the Business World
    Gain a solid foundation in communication and other skills needed for success in a business environment and prepare you for entry into the World of Business.

    Diploma Certificate
    Gain Canadian Work Experience in the Business World. Graduate with PTIB accredited Diploma from inlingua Victoria College of languages and careers.

    After completing each individual course in the program students will take an exam to achieve certification for that particular completed section of the program. Overall program evaluation will consist of:

    Exams 70% Field trip reports 10%
    Quizzes 10% Participation 10%

    You are required to:

    Purchase the required textbooks for the course.
    Have a personal laptop computer you can bring to class.
    Completion Requirements
    Students must achieve a mark of 70% or higher on each course exam to obtain their individual course certificates. If students fail to achieve these grades on the exams, they are permitted to retake the exams.

    To graduate from the program and receive the diploma students must complete all program courses and achieve an overall mark of 80% or higher, with a no less than 70% on their exams.

    They also must not miss more than 80% of the course due to absences and achieve an attendance score of 80% or more.

    Apply today to enter the world of Hospitality and Service Management. In this course you will learn about: Guest services, Accounting, Supervision, Front desk operations, Food safety training, Sales and Marketing, and Technology in the industry.

    This course takes place in beautiful Victoria, British Columbia – ranked as the world’s 5th best small city to live in. You will also complete your 6-month practicum in one of the many exceptional local businesses. Learn the skills of hospitality and service management, and apply them with inlingua Victoria!
