I attended Meric Japanese linguistic institution for a year and now I am an intern in Osaka. I majored in Japanese language and barely passed 2nd degree in the official Japanese exam. However, I wanted to improve my Japanese, so I decided to go to Japan for language study abroad. I was worried about the nuclear issues but Osaka was relatively safer than other places. The institution is between Nanba station and Nihonbashi station. Nanba is the most affluent region in Osaka. It is good for shopping and the inflation isn’t very high, making it easier for me to sustain a stable life. The course consists of a morning class and an afternoon class. Classes are classified; there are exam preparation course, business Japanese, and daily use Japanese. 1 year might seem short, but I am confident that I mastered what I aimed for. Dormitory is 10 minutes away from the institution. It is located in a silent region and the facilities are very clean. Osaka is less city-like relative to Tokyo, but the old Japanese culture is evident in Osaka. So I hope I helped those who are considering studying in Japan
