3U Partnership has partnered with Emerald Cultural Institute to offer the 3U Pathway University Foundation Programme in our Milltown campus. 3U Partnership is a new force in Irish higher education that combines the complementary strengths of Dublin City University, NUI Maynooth and the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. 3UPartnership brings together three distinctive and leading institutions working together on shared initiatives to deliver world-class education to international students. The 3U Pathway University Foundation Programme is aimed at preparing international students for undergraduate study at two of Dublin’s top universities, DCU and NUI Maynooth. Throughout the programme, students can improve their English language skills and acquire greater knowledge of their chosen academic subject whilst developing their social and intercultural skills and integrating into student life in Ireland. On successful completion, of the 3U Pathway University Foundation Programme, students will be awarded a Certificate in International Foundation Studies and guaranteed a place in their selected undergraduate programme at their chosen.

Two teachers combine on each course to ensure that students experience different teaching methods and speaking patterns. Progress tests are regularly used to monitor students and find out which areas need to be improved on. This method aims to focus on the strengths and weaknesses of the pupil and allows the teacher to see clearly which areas need extra attention. You will receive a Diploma certificate upon completion of the course.

Host family Staying with a host family gives students an excellent opportunity to develop their language skills in a natural everyday context. The host-family experience is one of the best ways in which students can learn about the lifestyle and culture of the location where they are studying. Our accommodation team personally select families and the relationship with families is carefully managed and monitored through a process of regular contact, visits and feedback from both families and students. Accommodation for juniors is provided on a full-board basis unless otherwise requested. Accommodation for adults is arranged on a half-board basis with full board at the weekends.
Residential accommodation Residential accommodation can be arranged for students attending courses at the Emerald Cultural Institute.
University or College residence We offer high-quality residential accommodation on university or college campuses. Depending on the location selected you can choose from one of the following types of accommodation options: Traditional Dormitory Single or twin room accommodation in a dormitory style with shared facilities.
Apartments Students can be accommodated in modern apartments on the grounds of the university or college. Depending on the campus, selected students can be accommodated in apartments with single or twin ensuite rooms. Apartments share a fully-equipped kitchen and a comfortable living area.

The headquarters are located at No. 10 Palmerston Park, a prime residential district within easy reach of Dublin City centre. Set in its own gardens, and overlooking the beautiful Palmerston Park, it offers students the chance to study English in a peaceful and stress-free environment with the city centre a 6-minute tram journey away. The original school building is a gracious Victorian mansion and we have enriched the campus by adding a specially designed modern building with additional classrooms and a large serviced canteen.

저는 겨울방학을 이용해서 3개월동안 에메랄드 문화 어학원으로 어학연수를 다녀왔습니다. 단기 어학연수이기 때문에 지역선정을 하는데 있어서 많이 고민했어요. 원래 유럽에 대한 로망이 있어서 영국쪽으로 가려고했는데, 영국에서 3개월동안 공부를 하기엔 구경하고싶은곳도 많고 공부가잘 안될것 같아서 아일랜드로 정했어요. 영국보다 물가도 저렴하고 공부하기에 좋은 환경이었어요. 3개월 어학연수를 들으면 대부분 일반영어프로그램을 듣게되요. 대체적으로 영어스피킹 수업을 듣고, 문법이나 작문과같은 수업도 들어요. 선생님이 1:1로 지도해주시기 때문에 저에게 부족한 부분에 대해서 꼼꼼하게 지도해주시고 어떤 방법으로 공부하는게 좋을지 잘 알려주셨어요. 한국에서 영어학원을 다니는거나 마찬가지일거라고 생각했는데 전혀 달랐구요, 3개월이지만 1년정도 공부한 기분이에요. 학교는 더블린에 있는데 마을도 너무예쁘고 영화같은 곳이에요. 공기도 좋고 조용하고, 시내에는 번화한곳도 많고 구경할 곳도 많아요. 학교 시설도 굉장히 깨끗하고 최신식이고 고급스러워요. 저는 처음에는 혼자 지내고 싶었는데 부모님께서 간김에 홈스테이를 하라고 하셔서 홈스테이 했어요. 근데 홈스테이 정말정말좋았어요. 가족들도 친절하시고, 아침저녁도 매일 맛있게 해주시고 생활하는데 있어서 굉장히 많이 도움을 주세요. 아직도 홈스테이 가족들과 연락하면서 지내구있구요. 단기어학연수가실 계획이시라면 아일랜드 강추에요.
