Getting to the school from the airport
Kaplan transfers Students should arrive at Edinburgh Airport where a driver will meet them to help with transportation. Kaplan Transfer Service must be arranged in advance. Taxi Transfer Service price for 2013 from Edinburgh Airport to city centre is £45 (one way).

싶었습니다. 어학연수지를 고민하던 중에 아름다운 건축물로

저는 에딘버러에 오고 나서 하루하루가 너무 빨리 지나간다는
생각이 들었습니다. 에딘버러의 좋아하는 점을 꼽자면, 도시는 보면
볼수록 눈이 부시게 아름답고, 웅장하고, 청정지역인 만큼 공기도
상쾌해서 아침마다 학교까지 매일 걸어 다녔습니다. 그 점이 정말
행복하고 즐거운 것 같습니다.

네. 새로 이전한 건물은 내부가 더욱더 쾌적하고 깔끔한 환경이 조성되어있어 공부에 더 집중할 수 있게 되었습니다. 또 주변에는 다양한
교통시설이나 마켓, 백화점 등이 구비돼있어 더 편리해졌습니다
정모님의 숙소 유형은 무엇이며 만족하는 편인가요?
저는 현재 ‘Arran House’라는 기숙사에서 살고 있습니다. 처음 이곳에 왔을
때 쾌적한 환경시설에 마음이 들었고, 일주일에 한 번씩 침구류를 바꿔주시고
청소도 해주셔서 좋았습니다. 그리고 1층에는 두 곳의 ‘common room’이라는
공간이 있으며 한 곳은 포켓볼과 탁구를 칠 수 있습니다. 다른 한 곳은 공부를 할
수 있는 공간과 파티룸이 자리 잡고 있습니다.

카플란 에딘버러 센터는 체계적으로 레벨이 구성되어있습니다. 스태프와
선생님들은 너무 친절하시고, 방과 후 액티비티도 학생들의 피드백을 통해서
적극적으로 변경해주셨습니다. 개인적으로 제일 맘에 들었던 것은 한국이랑
다른 교육 방법 이었던 것 같습니다.
한국에서 경험하신 영어 수업 및 공부 방식과, 카플란의
방식은 어떻게 달랐나요? (예. 문법 수업 방식의 차이 등) 또
해외 연수만이 줄 수 있는 영어공부의 장점도 나눠 주세요
한국에서는 학생들이 처음 영어를 접할 때 주입식으로 많이 접하는 거 같습니다.
하지만 카플란의 선생님들은 우리가 문법을 접할 때 단순히 외우게 하기보다는
학생들에게 이해시키는 것에 집중하고, 다음날 그 전날 배운 문법이라든지
단어를 반복적으로 사용하게끔 해주셔서 기억에 더 오래 남았던 거 같습니다.
그리고 특히 말하기는 그룹으로 연습을 진행하며 선생님이 그룹마다 틀린 문법을
지적하고 새로운 단어들을 알려주셔서 정말 좋았습니다.

카플란 에딘버러의 모든 선생님들이 정말 인상깊었는데요. 그중에서도 저의 첫 번째
선생님이자 영국 본토 악센트를 잘 알려주신 Tobias 선생님이 기억에 꼭 남을 것 같습니다.
왜냐하면 저는 영국 본토의 발음을 굉장히 좋아해서 배우고 싶었고, Tobias 선생님이
차근차근 천천히 알려주셔서 감사했습니다. 두 번째는 Martin이라는 선생님이셨는데,
저에게 행복 바이러스를 주신 선생님이었습니다. 수업이 너무 웃기고 즐거웠었습니다.
마지막으로 Katharine 선생님께서 전반적인 영어를 꼼꼼하고 정확하게 하나하나 잘
알려주셔서 기억에 남습니다.

라는 친구였는데요. 둘 다 처음 만난 사이였지만 성격이 적극적인 편이어서 빠르게 친해졌습니다. 두 번째는 멕시코에서 온 Gael이라는 친구와
브라질에서 온 Artur라는 친구였는데 마찬가지로 저희는 에딘버러의 관광지와 해리포터 촬영지라고 불리는 명소까지 곳곳을 여행하면서 즐거운
시간을 보냈습니다
