Course Information

  • Focus of Study : 
    Students improve all areas of their general English with General English. It focuses on English for real-life situations using speaking, reading, writing and listening. 
    Classes will have students at the same English level as they and teachers will base lessons around the needs of the group. Group work will be balanced with individual support and encouragement from your teacher.

    Benefit, Goal of this course :
    On completing this course you will have:
    - increased your oral fluency
    - learned “real” English using the latest course books and materials such as DVDs, newspapers and the internet
    - widened your range of active vocabulary
    - developed better listening skills
    - improved your writing, pronunciation and reading
    - developed learning strategies for the future

    Curriculum : 
    General English aims to help students improve their communication skills in a wide range of situations. To do this, the course follows a course book and teachers will use real-life situations and topics to make your learning personal to you. 
    Students have control of the topics they study. Topics will be chosen by the class at the beginning of each week in consultation with teachers.
    During the course you will:
    - work with other students to develop your communication skills by engaging in activities such as role-plays, pair work, group work and class discussions 
    - learn, review and consolidate new language everyday
    - learn how to become a more effective learner
    - get regular homework to help you review and check your understanding of what you have learned in class
    - complete can-do statements to track your progress
    - receive Student Progress Reports to help you focus your learning
    - receive regular one to one tutorials with your teacher to discuss your progress and set learning targets specific to your needs

    A great form of low-cost accommodation where you stay with local people. Choose bed and breakfast only for more flexibility, or select evening meals if you prefer to eat at home.
    Most accommodation is 40-50 minutes from the school using London’s excellent underground and bus routes.
    House/flat share
    This accommodation comprises a single or twin room in a house or flat shared with other students. This option is self-catered and there is no host living in the house.
    A twin room can be booked if two students come together.

    House or flat sharing is one of the most sociable ways in which to live and you will have the opportunity to meet a range of students from different countries and cultures.

    IH London school in Covent Garden is very close to many of London’s most interesting places. The London Underground (called ‘the Tube’) was the world’s first underground railway. It's a fast, efficient way to travel around, but the double-decker buses are better for the view!

    All activities are designed to help you practise speaking English. They are more than just fun – they are an excellent way to improve your understanding of the language, speed up your progress, socialise with students from different nationalities, and make new friends.
    Typical outings include the London Eye,
    Madame Tussauds, Wembley Stadium and

ぽむ

私がお世話になったこちらのＩＨロンドン校は、

校舎が綺麗です。
中にはカフェテリアもあって、
朝ごはんにサンドウィッチを買って食べてる人も多かったです。
先生達も親切で、レセプションのスタッフの人たちも
何か困ったことがあれば相談に載ってくれます。
あと、私は図書室がお勧めです。
本の教材はもちろん、ＤＶＤなどもあるので、家に帰って暇な時はそれを見て
勉強したり出来ます。
寮で暮らしていたので、一人の時間があっても退屈せずに楽しく過ごせました。
お勧めです。

高家恩

這個我照顧的IH倫敦學校，
學校的建築很漂亮。
裡面還有一個自助餐廳，
很多人早餐吃三明治，吃東西。
老師也很友善，接待人員也很友善
如果有什麼麻煩的話，會出現在諮詢中。
另外，我建議圖書館。
也有書籍，還有DVD，所以回家休息一下看
我可以學習。
因為住在宿舍所以即使有一個人的時間也能無憂無慮地度過。
