  • As the only college located in downtown Toronto, students only study at each college according to their major. There are four campuses and one dormitory. St. James Campus is the main campus where language course students are studying. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the dormitory from St.James Campus. The dormitory is shared by local and international students, and because it is  a dormitory, people who prefer a quiet environment can find a house nearby and move in after a semester.

    Out of about 30,000 students, 10 percent of Korean students are almost impossible to bump into. Six departments offer a total of 168 programs. You can support a one-year certificate course, a Diploma course, a Degree course with a bachelor's degree, and a Career-focused post-graduation program that you can apply after a bachelor's degree.

  • George Brown College is located in downtown Toronto to nurture the local talent and to Teach the skills required by urban jobs. It offers more than 160 career-oriented courses, a Diploma course for employment, and graduate and undergraduate degree programs. It provide one of the most diverse full-time classes in Canada.     George Brown College has a variety of programs that provide the skills needed to succeed in modern jobs.

    An English language course aimed to go to university.
    • EAP consists of nine levels, eight weeks for each level. The level test evaluates students' language skills and enables them to start learning at a level that is just right for each person.

    A diploma/a certificate program

    Through the full-time English program provided by George Brown College, you can acquire the necessary language skills to succeed in Canada. You can improve English ability in the educational environment of George Brown, which focuses on future studies and career success.

    There are currently 1,000 language course students. 50% percent are international students, and half of them are new immigrants. As the class is big, class is divided into morning class which starts at 9am and afternoon class which starts at 1pm. Morning and afternoon classes are randomly assigned by the school, and students cannot choose. The EAP (English for Academic Purposs), an ESL course at George Brown College, is a full-time program that allows you to acquire the language skills you need to succeed in Canada. You can improve your English skills in a friendly environment that focuses on academic and career successes.

    There are nine levels, each of levels is  for eight weeks. At the end of Level 8, a widely recognized Ontario College Certificate is issued (if at least two ESL levels have been completed at George Brown). Students will be given the appropriate level through a level test on arrival, but those who are taking language courses for one year certificate, three years' Diploma, or Associate's degree courses can submit TOEFL or IELTS scores to be informed of the timing to start study and time required for admission.

Activity

  • All of George Brown's students are free to participate in fitness classes, sporting events and more at the Fitness Center on the main campus. The school team, 'Huskies,' is a member of the Ontario College Athletic Association and participates in a variety of sporting events every year, including badminton, baseball, basketball, volleyball, soccer, cross-country, golf and more. Students can also join their own clubs or create new clubs. George Brown College has a variety of facilities such as cafeteria, wireless Internet zone, restaurants, bookstores, and convenience stores that make life easier for students.

Getting to the school from the airport

  • Use Pearson International Airport. Union Pearson Express (UP Express) trains are available from the airport to downtown, and other areas are taken by bus. The subway in downtown Toronto runs until 1:00 a.m. and price is fixed as $3.25 with no changes, so you need to have the right amount of coins.
