  • Glendowie School is a quality and high performing school in the Eastern Suburbs of Auckland. We are a full primary school catering for children aged 5 to 13 years of age. Our school is recognised as one which focuses on providing the very best education for our students who are taught within an environment of significant resources, quality facilities and by committed, exceptional teachers. Our school is a state authorised International Baccalaureate School (IB) offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP). This allows the school to deliver an International and National Curriculum.

  • Our school delivers the New Zealand curriculum through the local curriculum of the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and also the Montessori curriculum for our Montessori students.

    At the heart of the PYP, is a commitment to structured inquiry as the leading vehicle for learning. This learning is fostered through authentic and meaningful links across the curriculum and through a child centered, and interactive environment. PYP emphasises collaborative inquiry, encourages curiosity, voice and contribution of the students.

    Open weekdays, our staff value the importance of fun and free play. We facilitate child led activities. Children enjoy swimming in the school pool, have homework supervision, play sports, get crafty and have a large hall and outside area to play. Glendowie OSCARS is an approved Child, Youth and Family OSCAR programme.
