  • Since the founding of Tokyo International University, TIU has made agreements for international exchange with 29 universities in 20 countries as sister schools, overseas study program schools, and overseas seminar schools, all based on curriculums matching the international era. Currently, TIU still continues to implement an international education.

    From the expertise earned through the exchange between the students and teaching staff at TIU, and for the sake of further developing the circle of international exchange throughout the world, the Japanese Language School affiliated with Tokyo International University was established. As a Japanese language school affiliated with a university, our school has a long history, and the Japanese Language School affiliated with Tokyo International University is certainly a stable and well-balanced educational facility among numerous other Japanese language schools.

    Along with providing classes aimed to help students succeed on their university, graduate school, junior college, and specialty school entrance examinations, we also have flexible courses that consider the needs of a divers student body. Also, our school offers a full-time education system (full-time systems are not so common throughout Japan), greatly exceeding the standard amount of annual study time that is offered at most other Japanese language schools.   • Dormitory environment
    Our school has several affiliated dormitories where students can move in. The dormitories affiliated with our school are owned by a leading Japanese company, so you can live with peace of mind with perfect maintenance. Both dormitories are located in the suburbs of Tokyo, in a residential area with good environment. In addition, most student dormitories have a full-time caretaker couple, who give due consideration to security, hygiene, and balanced meals. If you are worried about your life in Japan, you should have your meal prepared ... If you are such a person, you should move into the dormitory.

    You can also interact with Japanese students in a comfortable environment.
    Not only international students from all over the world but also Japanese students live in the dormitory, so there are many opportunities to have daily conversations in Japanese and to experience Japanese lifestyle. There, you can interact with friends from all over the world and broaden your perspective.

    All dormitories are also equipped with air conditioning, and you can use the bathroom and shower freely. It is fully equipped with an automatic washing machine and dryer, providing a comfortable and clean space.

    A fulfilling diet
    Each student dormitory is equipped with kitchen facilities such as a refrigerator and a stove, and students can use it freely. In some dormitories, full-time cooks serve healthy meals with a good nutritional balance, and the elaborate menus made with fresh ingredients are highly regarded.

    About apartment (rental)
    There are many private apartments in Tokyo. We do not introduce apartments, but if you want to live in an apartment, we will introduce you to a real estate agent. The table below shows the rent market price of apartments in the suburbs of Tokyo and the distance from Takadanobaba Station, where our school is located, for reference. Meals are not included in the apartment, so you will have to prepare your own meals.
    Since our school is a school corporation attached to the university, all students can purchase a commuter pass like Japanese students. Therefore, compared to other Japanese language school students, you can save a lot of transportation costs when going back and forth between the dormitory (apartment) and the school.
