Course information

  • Focus of Study :
Our private secondary school covers the 5th to 10th grades and leads to the completion of secondary school leaving certificate. In the seventh grade you can choose between business and art education. We are state-recognized and follow the curriculum of the Bavarian State Ministry for Education and Culture - an important requirement because our students are free to attend public secondary schools after completing their secondary school leaving certificate. However, due to the conditions at Brannenburg Castle, we can convey the teaching material more individually. We use our pedagogical freedom to support each student according to their learning pace and talents.

Our state-recognized private technical college is open to all students who have completed secondary school or have successfully completed the 10th grade of a state or state-recognized high school. In two years, the children will be trained to obtain a technical college entrance qualification in the two branches of economics, law and administration and social work. As in our state-approved secondary school, we take a different approach than in public schools. You can find detailed information about the special features here. During the 11th and 12th grades, the students acquire sound learning and working techniques and are intensively prepared for the final exams. Because we want every individual to have the opportunity to achieve strong performance. What our students should bring with them: motivation, commitment and personal responsibility. Practical training alongside school takes place in the 11th grade. The students gain insights into the world of work and important impulses for their future choice of study or career. This training lasts a total of half a school year and is divided into one-week intervals of lessons and internships throughout the year.

Benefit, Goal of this course :
After completing secondary school, it is possible to continue your school career at our state-recognized private technical college. The students then already live in their familiar surroundings. This makes the transition enormously easier. Of course, students from external schools who have completed secondary school are also welcome to complete their technical high school diploma with us.

    Curriculum :
In the months before the final exams, we offer our students supplementary lessons in all relevant subjects. There are also crash courses in mathematics and business administration/accounting. Our simulated exams are also an ideal form of practice. Here the students can determine exactly where the material still needs to be deepened and where their own work structure should be improved. During this sometimes difficult preparation period, our educators are your companions all the way to graduation. They stay at the students' side to solve learning problems together and overcome any hurdles.

Location

Surrounding Area

  • Today's Brannenburg Castle was originally a castle that was first mentioned in the 12th century. Over the centuries, the building experienced exciting times, some architectural changes and many aristocratic landlords - they also valued this place in the Inn Valley because of its numerous sunny days. The most famous castle resident was probably the military commander Kaspar Winzerer. In 1554 the castle became the property of Hans Caspar von Pienzenau, who had it converted into a Renaissance castle. A good three hundred years later, the walls underwent another transformation: Joseph von Schmaedel rebuilt the castle around 1872 to 1875 in the English Neo-Gothic style for Major Max Reinhardt. Brannenburg Castle with its striking battlements is surrounded by a romantic park and lots of old trees. An imposing Neptune Fountain from the 18th century guards the site. For more than 60 years, Brannenburg Castle has been home to a boarding school, which has been run by the Zuber family - always with the aim of teaching children and young people values.
