Course Information

  • Focus of Study :
    This course is an introduction to French language and French culture. It is designed for students who have never learned French or whose knowledge is limited to just a few words. It combines basic grammar, vocabulary and communication skills studied in real life situations.

    Benefit, Goal of this course :
    *Express themselves in everyday situations (introducing themselves, greeting people, talking about their habits, expressing their feelings and opinions, asking *and giving information, finding their way, talking about past events or projects)
    *Understand words and sentences in simple texts, understand simple instructions, understand and participate in short conversations on topics of everyday life
    *Write short texts

    Curriculum :
    26 lessons / week : the weekly intensive courses. It includes the 20 weekly lessons + 3 targeted workshops (6 lessons)

    In the marina of Pointe du Bout, in the town of Trois-Ilets, the residence takes the form of a small holiday village by the sea. This is the touristic heart of the island, with many restaurants (local cook, French, Chinese, Mexican, Italian), local and European shops and services (banks, post office, car rental).
    It is also the ideal place for sports (golf, tennis) or water activities (beach, kitesurfing, windsurfing, diving) and leisure (casino, night club).
    The shuttle boat and the beach are within a 2 minute-walk. The residence is 25 minutes away from France Langue school (by shuttle boat).

    HOST FAMILIES
    If you prefer cultural exchanges and full immersion into French daily life, staying in a host family will meet your expectations. You will practice in a friendly environment and improve your French for an attractive price.
    We carefully choose our host families and we do our utmost to meet your requirements as much as possible (please provide us with as much information as possible about your interests, your wishes,..). No matter what age or social status our host families’ have, they all have in common a sense of hospitality and friendliness.

  • The paradise island of Martinique, also known as the “Island of Flowers”, is a French Caribbean island locatedbetween the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. 70 km long and 30 km wide, the island is bordered byturquoise waters and coconut trees and offers many surprises for visitors. Whether you love simply relaxing, hiking, watersports such as kitesurfing and diving or you are an avid fan of nature & wildlife, you will fall under the charm of Martinique with its average annual temperature of   26 °C.Our school is located in a lively neighbourhood in the capital town of Fort-de-France, an extensive port that is also the economic and commercial centre of the island.
