  • CES has over 30 years’ experience in English language training and the school has earned an international reputation for the care and attention that each of the students receives. During the stay, the school will ensure that students receive the highest level of quality teaching and service. Founded in 1976, CES is a group of private English language schools committed to providing the highest quality English language training experience. For over 30 years, CES has specialized in teaching English to foreign students, professionals and visitors from all around the world and continues to significantly improve their English skills and prepare them for success, whether at an institution for higher learning, in a professional setting or for personal satisfaction. CES’s rigorous curriculum focuses on developing students’ fundamental English skills in the areas of: Grammar, Writing, Conversation, Pronunciation, Listening, Reading and Vocabulary. Today, the centres are located in 4 attractive European cities, including London, Oxford and Worthing in England and Dublin in Ireland. The school offers independent students exposure to different cross-cultural ideas in a vibrant living environment that will deepen English communication skills and cultural understanding. Course Information

  • Focus of study:
    This program is for students who want to improve their English for personal or job related purposes. In this program, students will develop well-rounded English so they can express themselves in both everyday and academic situations.

    Benefit, goal of this course:
    The Standard General English Course takes place every morning from Monday to Friday, leaving students free every afternoon to join the Social Programme or study in the Self-Access facilities.

    Curriculum:
    The morning lessons are divided into two parts and students will usually be taught by two different teachers.

    In the first lesson the teacher concentrates on improving students’ accuracy, focusing primarily on grammar, reading and writing. The course-book is the basis for much of this lesson, with supplementary material taken from workbooks and other resource material.

    The second session concentrates on improving overall communicative proficiency and fluency, focusing on listening, speaking and vocabulary and consolidating the first part of the morning. Students will also be able to work on specific pronunciation difficulties and improve the language they will use in real-life situations.

    Students taking this course for longer periods (8 - 25 weeks) will have monthly assessments to make sure they are constantly improving. The Director of Studies arranges a weekly meeting time and place where all students can come and discuss any questions or problems.

  • Accommodation in Worthing
    Living with an English family One of the best ways to improve your English is by taking home stay accommodation.  Our home stays are all visited and checked by our Accommodation Officers and are chosen for their friendliness and the warm welcome that each student is given.  Many home stays are located close to the school and all are close to public transport links.We will send you details of your home stay before you arrive in England but you must make contact with the school and your home stay to confirm your flight number and time of arrival. This means your host family will provide you with breakfast, a packed lunch and an evening meal. Breakfast is a light meal consisting of juice, cereal, toast or bread. Dinner usually consists of a main dish of meat or fish followed by dessert. The main evening meal takes place between 6pm and 7pm, which allows you to join our evening programme or to take part in some sporting activity during the long summer evenings.

Surrounding Area

  • Worthing's famous 8km long promenade provides a wonderful place to walk in the afternoon or evening and there are many other attractions near the pier as well. However, many visitors prefer to swim in the clear, clean sea which the English Royal family have used for relaxation over the centuries.The Victorian architecture that stretches the length of the promenade gives Worthing its dignified feel. The town centre is full of shops, cafes, restaurants, high street stores and a wide range of leisure and sporting activities, yet it is a place where people have time to talk and it is easy to feel at home here and make new friends. Worthing is also very close to Chichester, which is famous for its Roman walls and cathedral. Arundel is well known for its amazing castle dating back to the 11th Century and of course its cathedral. All along the south coast there are many beautiful and famous places to visit, all within an hour of Worthing town itself.

以前こちらの学校にお世話になりました＾＾

海の直ぐそばにある、落ちついたちょっと田舎風ののびのびとしたところです。
ロンドンからは電車で１時間半くらいかかります。
日本にいた時は東京で生活していたので、こういうのんびりしたところで
過ごすのもいいなと思いました。
授業ですが、男性の先生もいて、ユーモアにあふれていたので楽しかったです。
授業は楽しいのはもちろん、校外活動が充実していたのも良かったです！
友達も出来て、休みの日にはいろいろ出かけたりしました。
宿泊施設は、私はホームステイを選びました。
料理を自分で作るのが苦手なので、、、、、
おかげで美味しいご飯と優しい家族に出会えたので良かったです。
日本のおみやげもってまた遊びに行きたいです。
