  • Bloomsbury International is the perfect mixture of the old and the new. It is situated in a beautiful building; so special it is protected by government order and may not be changed in any way. Inside, although many of the original features remain, the building has been completely renovated and offers 21st century comfort and technology, including wireless computer connections and the latest audio-visual study aids. Bloomsbury, the neighbourhood, is the heart of literary and intellectual London, home to the British Museum, the University of London and the famous Bloomsbury Group of intellectuals of the last century. It is also just a five-minute walk away from the exciting, fast-paced city life of London’s West End. Course Information

  • Focus of Study :
    Our General English classes have a strong focus on fluency and effective communication. The courses are designed to help you improve all aspects of the language including grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, writing, listening and speaking skills. Our teacher will monitor your progress closely and provide you homework and regular assessment to ensure that you have the best opportunity of developing your English.

    Curriculum :
    There is also the opportunity to have an even more specialised focus on studying English through our private lessons.  All of our courses begin with assessing your level of English on arriving at the school and defining your strengths and weaknesses. Your classes will be varied and dynamic and are based on a syllabus developed by our experienced team of academic professionals. Using a wealth of modern teaching techniques, communicative activities, project work, language analysis and skills work, your lessons will be both enjoyable and extremely rewarding. 
     
     
    The General course are scheduled in the morning with 20 lessons per week in total (lessons are 45 minutes in length). The lessons focus on helping you communicate effectively and confidently in everyday life. The wide-ranging syllabus will improve your listening, reading, writing, and speaking skills. The general course is offered year-round with sessions beginning every Monday . The program is the most comprehensive and popular course at school and enables each student’s all round skills to develop in the morning, with a particular focus on areas to improve or special interests in the afternoon.
     
    The Program is offered at 6 levels of instruction; A1 is the most elementary level while Level C2 is the most advanced. Upon their arrival, are required to take a placement test to help determine the level best-suited to their ability. At the end of the session, students are evaluated for advancement to the next level based upon their academic improvement. This program assists students at any ability level in developing English language skills, general communication skills, and building confidence when speaking. Instruction focuses on grammar, reading, writing, speaking and listening. Each week, academic objectives are planned in advance and discussed with the students.

  • Bloomsbury International Student Residences
    Bloomsbury International Student Residences are perfect for students who wish to experience living independently in London, while studying English and meeting other Bloomsbury International students from around the world. Offering some of the highest quality student houses in London, our residences are inviting and comfortable, so you really feel like you are living in a friendly shared house and not just renting a room. On your arrival, you are welcomed by our house carer who is available 24 hours a day, every day of the week in case of emergencies. Our residences are located on peaceful and safe residential streets in Archway, zone 2. On your doorstep, you will find a great selection of pubs, shops and cafés, or a short bus ride will take you to the heart of bustling Camden or the open spaces of Regent’s Park.

    Homestay

    Many of our students choose to stay with one of our specially selected homestays, where a warm welcome is guaranteed. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about life in the UK, experience British culture and practise English at the same time. In homestay accommodation, you can have your own room or book a twin room to share with a friend. Many students keep in touch with their homestay families when they return home and remain friends for many years. Bloomsbury International works with their registered and inspected partners to ensure students are placed in best suited homestay accommodation. All our homestay accommodation is checked and monitored regularly to ensure that it is of a good standard and host families are given strict guidelines about the services they need to provide to ensure that all our accommodation is operated to the same standards:

    External Residences / Hotels
    Our external student residences are located in zone 2 with excellent transport links (no more than 40 minutes from the school). The residences are safe, clean and comfortable, with communal areas for students to socialise and practise English. The communal areas often include kitchens, laundry facilities and TV lounges. Many of the residences also contain outdoor seating, pool table, bar, library and conference rooms. Many residences contain studios which can be adapted to accommodate 1, 2 or 3 students, or a family. All studios contain an en-suite bathroom, a desk, storage space and a kitchenette. This is a great option if you like your privacy but would also like to join other students in the communal areas. Bloomsbury International works with their registered and inspected partners to offer a wide range of external residence options in London to their students.

Surrounding Area

  • Centrally located, just 500 metres from the British Museum, one minute walk to the nearest underground station and main bus routes. In a famous part of central London, Bloomsbury, near the University of London, between the West end and The City and next to one of London’s green, tranquil squares which blooms with flowers in the spring and summer. Our beautiful, historic premises are located just two minutes from Holborn underground station and only 5 minutes from Oxford Street, Covent Garden and the British Museum.

This year has been the most fabulous year in my life! Thanks to all excellent teachers and kind school system. The class that was focused on improving communication skills helped me to boost up my confidence. I really had a good time. I got very close to friends who do dart, and I even joke around with them too. Good teachers helped me to get through the year, when I had difficult times. Without lacking behind or getting tired of school, I have succeeded to get through the year surely. I was glad that school was near the town, because hanging around the London city was a memorable experience for me too. I was able to study hard regularly, thanks to supporting friends and Bloomsbury!

一般英語コースに半年だけ留学しました！

ほぼ英語初心者で行きましたが、半年でも随分しゃべれるようになったと実感しました。
先生の質が高いんだと思います。
ホームページでも、exceeds expectationsの評価を受けていると書いてあったので
この学校を選んだんですが、ここの学校で正解でした！
学校自体もおしゃれですし、伝統ある校舎の中には最新の設備が整ってて便利だなと思うことがいっぱいありました。
wi-fiも使えるので、携帯は日本で使ってたやつをそのまま持って行き、wi-fiで使ってました！
学校はロンドンの中心地にあり、どこに行くにも出やすく良かったです！
学校は１２時１５分に終わるので午後はめっちゃ時間があまりましたが、
おしゃれなカフェなどで勉強するのも楽しかったです♪♪
学生寮は綺麗で、清潔感があり良かったです。
また続きをしに留学行きたいです。
