  • Since its establishment in 1989, Global Village English Centres pursues superb English education in all of its global campus: Hawaii, Victoria, Vancouver,Calgary and Toronto. Course Information

  • Focus of Study : 
    The General English Program emphasizes communicative skill above all other English techniques. Students will get abundant practice in English communication skills in community. 

    Benefit, Goal of this course : 
    Upon their arrival, students will be given an Entrance Exam. This placement test, which examines students' English skills accurately, will assign students in the most appropriate and necessary levels and classes. Students will then choose from GV's wide pool of classes. 

    Curriculum : 
    The course puts a limit on 15 students per class in order to provide an ideal setting for students to study English in. Curriculum is provided in nine different levels in order to place students in the most appropriate levels. Strengthened by GV's English Only Policy, the General English Program becomes a building bridge for students who wish to continue their academic endeavors.

    1st session: 8:30am-10:10am
    2nd session: 10:30am-12:10pm

  • Global Village Centres at Victoria provides students with the option of homestay. GV's unique homestay program provides students with safe, ensured environment that is also culturally rich. The full board option comes with all 3 meals prepared by the host family. The executive homestay option comes with private bed and bathroom as well as high speed internet and three meals provided by the host family.

Surrounding Area

  • Victoria is located on the southern tip of Vancouver Island and is the capital of British Columbia. Victoria is an appealing city especially to tourists. Many international students attend University of Victoria, Camousun College, Royal Roads University and the Sooke Schools International Program. Victoria is also close to B.C's Chinatown, the second biggest in North America after San Francisco. Located in the old, antique town district of Victoria, GV Victoria campus will provide students with a charming experience.
