Conditional admission

  • Ability English has many partner colleges that recognise the academic excellence of EAP(English for Academic Purposes) courses. After you study EAP with us you can study Certificate, Diploma, Undergraduate or Postgraduate level courses
    with any of reputable partners.
    EAP course prepares students for all the possible language challenges students will experience in a university or college. Ability English thoroughly train students in the challenging skills of writing essays in English, giving presentations in English and understanding the expectations of an English-speaking college or university.

    General English classes teach fast communication in a fun and social way. Every week there is a focused pronunciation class and a focused intercultural communication class to get you speaking English quickly.   • When you travel to another country to study it’s great to have local people you can trust helping you organise your life. When you book your course with Ability English can also organise your accommodation. Different students look for different experiences so there are two main types of accommodation in Sydney.
    1. Residential accommodation
    Ability English offers this form of accommodation at a range of rental charges. All are near
    public transport. Students are suggested initially book for 4 weeks.
    - Student share houses: Best for students with clothes storage, internet
    facilities, a desk and a quiet environment to study.
    - Student Lodges and guest houses: Smaller rooms, more homely, may
    have limited cooking facilities
    - Backpackers: More suited for the short term. Cheap and well located, can be very social with lots of activities
    Ability English can book accommodation for the student when having received your
    flight details and a booking fee of A$240. 
    2. Homestay accommodation
    Students can stay with a family to experience the Australian lifestyle and to
    practise speaking English day-to-day. Breakfast and dinner are provided, and
    lunch on weekends. Ability English recommends Homestay accommodation for younger
    students and for students who are coming to Australia for the first time. Allow
    up to 40-50 minutes travel time to school by public transport.

我報的學校是Ability English，報名之後會有一個聽說讀寫的小測驗再決定將你分配到哪一班
我報晚上班 上課時間是晚上，比白天班便宜
校方規定要有中上級的程度 所以在參加小測驗時還頗緊張 怕無法拿到證書 那我就夢碎了
大概是二十題選擇題加兩百字英文寫作 然後班主任來跟我聊天 然後決定我的程度，班主任對我的評語是讀寫略差聽說較強 
總之最後我被分配到了中級 呼呼!!

這裡上課每周一會有考試 考上週的上課內容，得到四次次八十分以上就可以升級
我上了一週之後有發現這程度大約是國中 是很基礎的單字跟文法
沒意外的話 我可能是班上程度最好的 同學一直說我很聰明 英文很好
身為台灣人怎麼可以接受把錢丟到水溝裡這種事情呢果然上到第二週尾巴的時候，老師建議我第四週起可以到中上級

六週語言學校的體驗 我還是認為非常值得 
在打工度假之旅中有一點點不一樣 有一點喘息空間 回歸到當學生的單純
