  • La Trobe University Language Centre has taught English to students from around the world since 1974.The Language Centre offers individuals a full range of courses, including General English, Business English, English for Further studies, Professional Communication and English for High School Preparation.The EFS course prepares students for entry to undergraduate and postgraduate study.On satisfactory completion of the course, students will have met English language entry requirements of La Trobe University.Our reputation is based on our professional staff, care for students, up-to-date facilities, and continual re-investment in resources, facilities and staff development.

    English language students can participate in a range of learning support sessions to enhance their skills. These optional sessions are held every day Monday to Friday and can be taken in addition to your core classes. The sessions will help you improve your English in all skills areas, within a relaxed interactive environment.     During your English studies you will have access to La Trobe Melbourne’s Independent Learning Centre (ILC), student advisory and support services, computer and listening laboratories, as well as
    La Trobe University’s campus facilities. Your learning experience in Australia will be further enhanced through field trips and excursions, cultural studies and social activities.

    This program covers everyday English at all levels. It also includes excursions and social and recreational activities. By completing this course you will: •  develop your core communication skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing) •  increase your vocabulary •  improve your grammar •  learn computer skills •  enhance your listening skills through specialised listening laboratories

    This course is your pathway to a Diploma or Bachelor program at La Trobe University Sydney Campus. The Foundation Studies Program is a university preparatory course, which focuses on building the language and study skills required to succeed at university.

曾心瑩

拉籌伯大學是一所占地面積非常大的學校，有廣大的草原及湖泊，甚至走到校園裡會迷路。校內有接駁校車經過每一所科系，裡面也有學生遊樂場及酒吧，算是一所還不錯的大學。

來到墨爾本，不外乎是先解決食衣住行的問題。這是一切挑戰的起點，開始用英文交流。 剛開始的一段時間的確不是非常適應，澳洲生活的步調緩慢，但是初來乍到的學生心裡卻急急忙忙，一直想要趕快辦理好銀行、手機、住宿等問題，差不多一星期才全部安定下來。

因為英文能力不是非常好，必須還要就讀語言學校並順利畢業才能進入碩士課程，語言課程一開始的確讓人非常緊張，第一堂課馬上就是小篇寫作以及聽力測驗，然後回家是滿滿的閱讀作業。語言學校的生活作業考試雖然很多，但是可以認識許多不同國家的學生並且了解不同的文化，這點是出國留學最大的優點也是最難能可貴的經驗。在語言學校結束之後，發現其中學習的學術寫作及閱讀的技巧，對於往後的報告或論文有非常大的幫助。語言學校是進入碩士課程最好的緩衝期。

語言學校結束後，白天找了Part time 打工晚上假日則是天天出去玩~~~開派對、跑酒吧、 海灘BBQ、 大洋路、滑雪等等…真是逍遙又自在! 又能賺錢又能玩樂的感覺真是太好了~~難怪一堆人會想來這裡打工度假。
