The English Language Centre (ELC) is part of the University of Adelaide and offers a range of General and Academic English language programs, along with short courses for international students and visiting groups.

    Curriculum :
    Pre-Enrolment English Program (PEP)
The Pre-Enrolment English Program (PEP) is a direct entry pathway into further studies at the University of Adelaide for students that have not met the minimum English language entry requirements of their award program.

Entry into the University of Adelaide is dependent upon successful completion of the course components. If you successfully complete the Pre-enrolment English Program (PEP), you will not be required to complete another English test prior to entry into your chosen University program.

General English for Academic Purposes (GEAP)
You can study the GEAP as a stand-alone program for personal or professional advancement or to gain credit towards a degree in your home University. GEAP can also be used as a pathway to the University of Adelaide if you have not met the minimum English requirements for the Pre-Enrolment English program (PEP).More than just an English program, The GEAP learning style puts an emphasis on developing your team work and problem solving skills, giving you the opportunity to display your initiative and to build your confidence.  As your language ability improves, you’ll also be developing skills that can be applied outside the classroom, whether for your career or further study.
