EF International Language Center New York About the

  • In the early 1960s, a young swedish man named Bertil Hult went to UK for the first time. I was a student who always had had difficulties in studying because of dyslexia. But surprisingly in UK he learned English with not that many difficulties. So he became sure that traditional teaching method in classes is not always effective and decided to establish a small company named Europeiska Ferieskolan (European Holiday School or EF) combining language education and traveling abroad. Bertil made a programme that provides field study outside a class and named it Sprakresor, that is to say Language Travel. Today, field study is the foundation of modern education. It has been philosophy supporting all EF programs for 50 years.
    EF’s English courses in New York are situated on a traditional American campus, offering students proximity to the bustle of Manhattan in a calm, tree-lined setting. New York language school allows EF’s students to catch their breath and study English in a small-town on the shores of the Hudson River. New York language school is located a short train ride from the bright lights of Times Square. The 25-acre campus features historic brick buildings and expansive green spaces, just like you’d find studying at a major American university. New York language school campus supplements English courses with a full university library, several student lounges, a fitness center and a 6-lane swimming pool.

These programs combine advanced English courses with language and entrance exam preparation. 大学の春休みを使って留学していました。
短期間で集中的に英語が学びたかったので、集中英語プログラムに留学しました。

クラスは、6段階で構成されていて、自分のレベルにあった少人数のクラスで学べるので
質問もしやすかったです。

留学中は、ホームステイをしていました。
毎日美味しいご飯だったのでご飯時間が毎日楽しみでした＾＾
授業で分からないところや疑問に思ったこと、分からない英語があった時も
優しく教えてくれたのでとても有難かったです。留学が終わった今でも良く連絡を取り合っています！

とても良い留学生活になりました！＾＾
