  • Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (commonly abbreviated as SIUE), is a public university in Edwardsville, Illinois. SIUE was established in 1957 as an extension of Southern Illinois University Carbondale. It is the younger of the two major institutions of Southern Illinois University system, and, as of 2018, has the larger enrollment. The University offers graduate programs through its Graduate School.

    The majority of SIUE's students are from Illinois, with out-of-state and international students accounting for 18% of enrollment. As of 2018, for nearly all of its academic programs, SIUE does not charge out-of-state tuition and fee rates, such that the standard rates are the same for all U.S. residents. The university offers numerous extracurricular activities to its students, including athletics, honor societies, student clubs and organizations, as well as fraternities and sororities. The university has more than 101,000 alumni.

Conditional admission

  • for the CEP, students must apply to the Meridian Scholars Program at SIUE and indicate either pharmacy or pre-pharmacy as an area of intended study on the Meridian Scholars Program application. On a competitive basis, candidates will be invited to interview with the SOP.  Upon completion of all interviews, the top candidates will receive a formal invitation to participate in the CEP.

  • ESLI program at SIUE provides safe and modern suite and apartmentstyle housing, along with indoor and outdoor pools and a rock-climbing gym.SIUE has a diverse residential community with more than 3,500 students living on campus. 我在一般英語課程上,我的英語水平仍然很低,拼命想跟著上課,
教師的老師非常友好,並且會有很多發言的機會,我每天都在愉快地學習。

由於班上的氣氛很明亮,我能夠很快適應,我的朋友立刻就做到了!
由於台灣學生較少,我沒有機會使用中文,所以只有一個月,我覺得自己語言能力提高許多。

目前,我正在寄宿一個寄宿家庭。
從四月到六月底,我們有一個寄宿合同,
從七月份開始,我計劃搬到學校準備的校園外的學生宿舍。
我喜歡我的寄宿家庭,學生宿舍決定搬遷,因為同班以外的朋友也可以成為一個良好的環境。
寄宿家庭非常友善,母親喜歡烹飪,所以每次飯都很美味,我每天都很期待回到寄宿家庭。
