  • For over 50 years, students have chosen ELS to achieve their English language goals. With 12 class levels, state-of-the-art language technology centers, multiple testing services and university admission assistance, ELS ensures success through our personalized approach and commitment to student achievement. ELS' rapidly globalizing world presents many challenges; however, those challenges bring with them many opportunities. Being able to communicate effectively in English can help students make the most of these opportunities and enable student to accomplish his dreams. ELS International Pathways provide one with a seamless journey to further education. Students can study English with ELS in 83 different locations in 11 countries. By completing the ELS English for Academic Purposes program, student satisfy the English requirement for more than 650 ELS partner universities worldwide. ELS University Admission Services will guide students from start to finish as he progress toward his chosen university. Students will make new friends from around the world and come to understand their cultures. This will ensure one a successful journey through a rapidly changing, globalizing world.

  • University of Tampa is a private, coeducational university in downtown Tampa, Florida. It is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. UT offers over 150 undergraduate degree options, along with 11 master's degree programs in business administration, accounting, finance, education, marketing, instructional design and technology, nursing and creative writing. For the seventh year in a row, UT’s Sykes College of Business has been named by The Princeton Review as an outstanding business school for its 2013 edition of Best 296 Business Schools. UT has approximately 6,900 students from 50 U.S. states. Many students come from northern and northeastern states, attracted by the warm weather, the nearby beaches and the beautiful campus. Conditional admission

  • With over level 112 in ELS, students can be accepted to Bachelor and Master's programs. Both Undergraduate and Graduate schools issue a CLA to students.

Course Information

  • Focus of Study :
    The ELS Intensive English Programs use ELS' proven communicative approach to language learning. The Programs will challenge students' abilities and allow them to have fun while developing all language skills. Courses for both programs meet for 30 lessons per week, so the students are certain to learn quickly
     
    Benefit, Goal of this course :
    The program helps students improve English by focusing on the skills he will need to communicate well in everyday business and social settings. Morning classes focus on listening and speaking skills as well as vocabulary development and language structure. In Masters levels, students take one Skills  
    Enhancement Class in the morning. Afternoon classes are dedicated to Skills Enhancement Classes in every level.
     
    Curriculum :
    The development of important language skills and elements such as listening, speaking, pronunciation and vocabulary allows one to communicate accurately and effectively. Students 
     practice conversation and other speaking skills using practical, real-world English. Students learn to develop strategic listening skills and improve your use of grammar.
     
    Skills Enhancement Classes allow him to customize his program to suit his individual interests.
    Sample classes include American Idioms, American Film, Current Events and American Culture*.
    Choices vary by location.
    In our modern Language Technology Centers, students work on their individual language skills and  
    objectives through technology-supported learning.Contact America! provides students with regular opportunities to meet with native English speakers, listen to guest lecturers and participate in local excursions.

    Description: This hotel is very convenient for students to stay because of its close proximity to the University of Tampa. The rooms have either a view of the Bay, the beautiful and historical Plant Hall or thedowntown skylines. Swimming pool, gym, dining, and shuttle services are available to all guests. This hotel also offers a microwave, refrigerator and hair dryer in each room.

  • ELS/Tampa is located at The University of Tampa in the heart of historically and culturally-rich downtown Tampa, near beaches, exciting nightlife and world-class
    shopping. The beautiful 40-hectare campus is nestled on the banks of the Hillsborough River and boasts the Henry B. Plant Museum, the Scarfone/Hartley Gallery, the David Falk Theatre and has among the best sports facilities in the nation for a school of its size. Please note: Only students who have already applied for admission, have been conditionally accepted, or are concurrently applying for admission to the University of Tampa may enroll in the ELS program at UT.
    The Tampa Bay area enjoys wonderful weather year-round. Summers are hot and winters are mild. Rainy season is July- October. Students should bring appropriate
    clothing.

自上了大學因所學科系有接觸國際這塊,而全球化的現象也越趨普遍,因而顯得英文也越來越重要,不論是在未來工作方面,亦或是自我充實,每每看到人家可以講一口流利的英文便由心生羨,因此出國就成了我心中小小的願望,沒想到現在居然真的可以實現,原本面臨即將畢業的迷茫感,一直猶豫著到底該不該去,畢竟這是我第一次,要獨自踏上距離如此遙遠的國家,雖然自認平常很獨立的我還是不免會感到不安慌張。

坦帕大學的課程內容式以學術課程為主,上的課程跟一般的語言課程不一樣,還有加上很多大學內會上到的課程,加強我的學術英語,讓我之後能更順利的銜接美國大學的課程。
很感謝一路支持我的家人,總能讓我自由的做我想做的事,當我永遠且最有力的後盾,無論如何一定要好好把握這難得的機會,努力充實自我。
