AES students make use of all the facilities on campus. To the right is the Lewis & Clark library.Open 24 hours a day on weekdays, the Watzek Library provides everything a student could need for studying, from over 120 online databases and full Web access to a cozy reading room. The Library also contains one of the many computer labs on campus. The library building houses the Information Technology department, which offers AES students extensive computer-related support.
The Pamplin Sports Center is open to all students. It has an indoor tennis dome, competition-size swimming pool, a gymnasium, three basketball courts, a weight room, an aerobics room, locker rooms, training rooms, and classrooms. Intramural sports are also a great way for AES students to interact with native speakers while getting exercise.
Templeton Student Center
The Templeton Student Center houses most of the student activities. In the photo to the right, you can see the entrance to the bookstore and cafeteria. In the bookstore, students can buy all the books they will need for their classes, as well as school supplies and L&C memorabilia.
A campus post office is also located in Templeton. At the post office, students can purchase stamps and mail packages. Lewis & Clark also provides a mailbox for each student.
There are two places to eat in Templeton Center. Fields Dining Room is a more traditional campus cafeteria primarily for students who live in campus housing. The second cafeteria, called The Trail Room, is a cafe-style dining room open to off-campus students as well as faculty and staff. There are also two two cafés on campus (Maggie’s and The Dovecote) where students can enjoy an espresso or tea or pick up a snack between classes.
