  • Colorado Mesa University has partnered with Bridge Education Group® to offer an on-campus, intensive English program to prepare academically qualified students for full admission to CMU. As a student in the BridgePathways® program, you'll quickly learn from the communicative and student-centered approach and feel well prepared to succeed in one of more than 70 competitive degree programs at CMU. BridgePathways® students can gain conditional admission to CMU, either before arriving or as a current student, if all admission requirements except the English proficiency are met. While in the program, students may live on-campus and enjoy full access to student amenities and activities, from the dining hall to the recreation center and everything in between. Named the number one Public Liberal Arts School in Colorado by Washington Monthly Magazine, CMU is committed to making the international student experience exceptional. CMU is home to students from more than 25 nations and boasts a state-of-the-art campus with new classrooms, residence halls, and recreational facilities. Course Information

  • The BridgePathways ® Academic English Program was developed precisely for international students to succeed in a U.S. academic environment. The Academic English Program is specifically designed to help students prepare for and succeed at U.S. universities. Our theme-based curriculum uses authentic materials and includes activities such as debates, essays and presentations. Students can also apply for conditional admission to our partner institutions and receive a TOEFL waiver upon graduation from our program.

  • On-campus housing: $23.57 per day
    BridgePathways students are generally housed in a double room on campus which includes basic furniture (bed, dresser, desk), cable tv hook up, and wireless internet access. By living on campus, students get the total college experience. Located just minutes from all of the action including sporting events, theatrical productions and cultural activities. In the 11 residence halls, satellite TV, high-speed wireless Internet and free laundry are included.

  • Opportunities abound at CMU for physical challenges and mental inspiration. They offer top-notch facilities for relaxing with friends and on-campus living. The CMU experience includes unparalleled outdoor recreation and active student life programs.

    Clubs and Organizations
    Colorado Mesa University believes that experiences outside the classroom are as valuable to students’ growth as those in the classroom. That’s why CMU supports more than 140 clubs and organizations spanning all interests including academic, athletic, cultural, professional associations and honor societies.

    Leadership Opportunities
    Organizations such as Associated Student Government (ASG) and the Residence Hall Association (RHA) enable students to have an active role in shaping the campus while improving interpersonal skills and increasing their value to future employers.

    Athletics and Intramurals
    Athletics are fun whether you are watching or playing, and much of the Mavs’ success is attributed to a loyal fan base. Students are admitted free to all sporting events with their student ID. For students who have the passion but don’t care for the pressure, CMU has 14 intramural programs ranging from soccer to ultimate Frisbee.

    Outdoor Program
    The Outdoor Program on the CMU campus is dedicated to outdoor adventure and education. It offers trip coordination, instruction, equipment rentals and weekly presentations. Enjoy whitewater rafting, mountain biking, hiking, camping, cross country skiing, rock climbing and much more.
